Bruno Mars It Will Rain (with lyrics)

“It Will Rain”

If you ever leave me, baby,
Leave some morphine at my door
‘Cause it would take a whole lot of medication
To realize what we used to have,
We don’t have it anymore.

There’s no religion that could save me
No matter how long my knees are on the floor (Ooh)
So keep in mind all the sacrifices I’m makin’
To keep you by my side
To keep you from walkin’ out the door.

‘Cause there’ll be no sunlight
If I lose you, baby
There’ll be no clear skies
If I lose you, baby
Just like the clouds
My eyes will do the same, if you walk away
Everyday it’ll rain, rain, ra-a-a-ain

I’ll never be your mother’s favorite
Your daddy can’t even look me in the eye
Ooh, if I was in their shoes, I’d be doing the same thing
Sayin’ “There goes my little girl
Walkin’ with that troublesome guy”

But they’re just afraid of something they can’t understand
Ooh, but little darlin’ watch me change their minds
Yeah for you I’ll try, I’ll try, I’ll try, I’ll try
I’ll pick up these broken pieces ’til I’m bleeding
If that’ll make you mine

‘Cause there’ll be no sunlight
If I lose you, baby
There’ll be no clear skies
If I lose you, baby
Just like the clouds
My eyes will do the same, if you walk away
Everyday it’ll rain, rain, ra-a-a-ain

Oh, don’t you say (don’t you say) goodbye (goodbye),
Don’t you say (don’t you say) goodbye (goodbye)
I’ll pick up these broken pieces ’til I’m bleeding
If that’ll make it right

‘Cause there’ll be no sunlight
If I lose you, baby
There’ll be no clear skies
If I lose you, baby
And just like the clouds
My eyes will do the same, if you walk away
Everyday it’ll rain, rain, ra-a-a-ain

“It Will Rain” is a love ballad co-written and produced by Bruno Mars and his songwriting and production team, The Smeezingtons. The Breaking Dawn – Part 1 soundtrack was released on November 8, 2011. Mars described the song as concerning “the darker side of love”. Mars and his label Elektra Records later celebrated achieving his fourth #1 single on the Billboard Top 40 chart with “It Will Rain”.

“It Will Rain” is featured in the end credits of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. Mars said the tune was halfway done before he viewed an early cut of the film and, inspired by its characters, put together the finishing touches. Alexandra Patsavas, music supervisor for the Twilight films, said she picked Mars because Part 1 centered on a wedding and, “Who more appropriate than Bruno Mars to write a timeless, classic wedding song?”

Mars later remarked he had to “turn off the radio” upon hearing the final mix of his vocals on the song, saying “I felt like I was a mosquito singing. I don’t want that to happen again.”

Thanks, and enjoy the video!

God Bless the USA” is an American patriotic song written and recorded by country music artist Lee Greenwood, and is considered to be his signature song. The first album it appears on is 1984’s You’ve Got a Good Love Comin’. It reached No. 7 on the Billboard magazine Hot Country Singles chart when originally released in the spring of 1984, and was played at the 1984 Republican National Convention with President Ronald Reagan and first lady Nancy Reagan in attendance, but the song gained greater prominence during the Gulf War in 1990 and 1991, as a way of boosting morale.
The popularity of the song rose sharply after the September 11 attacks and during the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and the song was re-released as a single, re-entering the country music charts at No. 16 and peaking at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart in 2001. The song was also re-recorded in 2003 and released as “God Bless the USA 2003”. The song also rose up in popularity in May 2011 when Osama bin Laden was killed by an American raid in Pakistan.   Greenwood also wrote a Canadian version of this song called “God Bless You Canada”. As of July 2014, the song has sold 934,000 copies in the United States
